Flash Special Effects

 

 

Before you begin…

Ø      Decide what you want your Flash movie to do,

o       Plan it: pictures, shapes, text

Ø      Decide how many frames to have in the movie

o       A five second movie needs 60 frames (12 fps)

 

  1. The color property Fading a shape in and out
    1. Put a shape on a layer in a particular color
    2. Create a motion tween
    3. Insert a keyframe at 40
    4. Go to frame 1

                                                               i.      Notice you get the properties for the frame

    1. Select the shape

    1. Change the color Alpha to a low % 
    2. Insert a keyframe at 60
    3. Move the object to another location
    4. Change the tint to another color

 

  1. Changing Color and moving Text
    1. Create a text object
    2. Create a motion tween
    3. Insert a keyframe at 40
    4. Change color tint and/or brightness properties
    5. Change location
    6. Insert other keyframes and make changes

 

  1. Making a shape tween on letters in text (B-27)
    1. Create a text frame sentence
    2. Insert a keyframe at 60 and 80 (this is the end)
    3. Selection arrow, Modify, Break Apart
    4. Divided into separate text blocks.
    5. Modify, Break Apart again. (dot pattern)
    6. Zoom in
    7. Subselection arrow, click edge of letter
    8. EVERY KEYFRAME YOU ADD: BREAK APART TWICE
    9. To move, select individual letter first
    10. Add Shape tweens

 

 

  1. Images
    1. File Import
    2. Size and place where you want it to begin
    3. Create motion tween
    4. Insert Keyframes
    5. Select first frame
    6. Change Color Alpha to a low %
    7. Change last frame to Alpha low
